CARRIAGE RIDES Carriage rides for up to four passengers. Enjoy the drive through unspoilt countryside where D.H. Lawrence was inspired to write his books, he was well acquainted with this area his many famous works are known to be semiautobiographical and he uses Felley Mill (renamed Strelley Mill) as one of the main settings in his novel "The White Peacock". His lover, Jessie Chambers, lived at Haggs Farm on Felley Mill Lane, and she and the whole area became immortalised as the setting for "Sons and Lovers". Rides last approximately one hour.

OUR HORSE Thomas is a 16.3 hh gelder lander ride and drive born April 2000 and has been driving for five years, he is very sensible and well suited to his job. Thomas loves all the attention he can get so the young ones can stroke and pet him. |
